After nearly ten years invested in this project, Catherine is thrilled to announce the October 15th release date for Genesis, the first book in her rhyming Bible series. Periodic updates and pre-sale opportunities will be announced through media outlets as well as this site.
In “The Rhyme and Reason Series,” Catherine has creatively told the entire scope of various books of the Bible in two-line rhyming couplets. Vibrant, fun-filled, full-color illustrations will complement the text of each 48-page hardcover book. They are designed to teach children as well as new Christians the events and themes of each book of the Bible as well as the heart of the Father in an easy and fun to read manner. Think of this series as “Dr. Seuss meets the Bible.”
Rather than simply focusing on individual stories, the entire book is outlined. For example, in the book of Genesis, instead of merely telling the story of Noah and the ark, or some aspect of Joseph’s life, it provides a complete, chronological narrative of all of the events that take place from the first chapter to the last.
“My hope is that these books will be a powerful tool for creating a passion for the Word of God by taking some of the intimidation and confusion out of it,” Catherine says. “Ephesians 5:26 talks about the effectiveness of ‘the washing of the water of the Word,’ and I want to gently direct people to its life-changing power.
“Make no mistake. This is by no means a translation. It’s more like Cliff Notes! The goal is to provide information in a compelling manner so that children will be intrigued with the Word of God and adults will pull their Bibles out, blow the dust off, and actually read it.”
